1.     CAT

Common Admission Test: Common Admission Test (CAT) is the most popular MBA entrance test and is held annually for admission to postgraduate management courses in all the Indian Institute of Management (IIMs) and various other management institutes. IIMs offer around 3,335 seats in various management programmes & other than the IIMs, 165-odd institutes admit students based on CAT scores. Every year more than two lakh students appear for CAT.


2.   XAT

For more than 60 years XLRI has been conducting admission test on all India level to select the most appropriate students for management education. There are more than 70 plus Management Institutes which use XAT scores for selecting students. There are 33 cities in which XAT exam is conducted. Other prominent institutes which accept XAT are: S P Jain Institute of Management and Research, Mumbai, Welingkar Institute of Management Development and Research, Mumbai, Xavier Institute of Management Bhubaneswar and Loyola Institute of Business Administration, Chennai

3.    SNAP

Symbiosis National Aptitude (SNAP) Test is a common written test for the admission to all the Post-Graduate Institutes of Symbiosis International University. Written test is mandatory for admission into any Postgraduate programme offered by the constituent institute of Symbiosis International University. SNAP is the first step in the admission process afterward which the students are compulsory to submit applications in distinct colleges and clear Personal Interview (PI) and Group Discussions (GD) rounds.


4.   IIFT

The Indian Institute of Foreign Trade (IIFT) was set up in 1963 by the Government of India as an autonomous organization to help professionalize the country’s foreign trade management. Today it is one of India’s most prestigious business schools. Its flagship program is Masters in Business Administration in International Business (MBA-IB). It is the only institute among top 10 B-schools in India that offers this course. Last year approximately 50,000 candidates applied for just 220 seats.


5.    NMAT

It is an entrance exam which is conducted by every year by Narsee Monjee Institute of Management Studies (NMIMS) Mumbai in order to grant aspiring applicants admission in programs like full time MBA, MBA (Banking), MBA (Capital Market), MBA (HR) and MBA (Pharmaceutical Management) at Mumbai campus and 2-year full- time PGDM at Bengaluru and Hyderabad campuses. The total number of seats offered in this course is 800. Applicants from all over the country apply for this course. It is a stepping stone to success for aspiring applicants.


6.   CMAT

Common Management Admission Test (CMAT) is conducted by by AICTE (All India Council of Technical Education) twice in a year.  CMAT was started by AICTE in the year 2012. CMAT Exam Score is accepted in all the colleges approved by AICTE.

CMAT Exam is conducted twice in a year. Students can sit for both the exams for admission in single academic session and then use the best score for admission purpose.
